GRETA WALLER: INVITATIONAL EXHIBITION OF VISUAL ARTS

Paintings, sculptures, works on paper, and installations by 35 contemporary artists will be exhibited in the galleries of the American Academy of Arts and Letters on historic Audubon Terrace (Broadway between 155 and 156 Streets) from Thursday, March 9 through Sunday, April 9, 2017. Exhibiting artists were chosen from a pool of nearly 165 nominees submitted by the members of the Academy, America’s most prestigious honorary society of architects, artists, writers, and composers. The recipients of the Academy’s 2017 Art and Purchase Awards will be selected from this exhibition.

Waller (b. 1983) will be represented by the inclusion of the following paintings: Peak, 2013, oil on canvas, 24 x 30 inches; Artist Statement, 2011, oil on canvas, 16 x 20 inches; Ice from Whiteface, 2008, oil on linen, 20 x 24 inches; Greek Steak, 2004, oil on linen, 19 x 27 inches.
